1995
Transactel was established as a mortgage and commercial portfolio management business

1998
Expanded to include risk management (credit bureau)

2000
Partly sold the credit bureau to TransUnion LLC (20%) and 20% to IFC (International Finance Corporation – World Bank)

2001
Initiated call center operations

2002
Expanded BPO operations to El Salvador

2005
Became the local distributor for Avaya in El Salvador
Second site in Guatemala City goes live (Cocopat building)
Certified by Moody’s as a “Special Servicer” for US funded mortgages in Guatemala

2006
Capacity expansion in Guatemala and El Salvador opening one more site in Guatemala City
Became a member of the American Teleservices Association

2007
Third site in Guatemala City goes live (Tetra Center building)
Established a commercial office in Mexico City for outsourcing into Central America
Co-founder and member of the Commission of Contact Center in Guatemala, with its purpose to innovate and improve the BPO Industry within the region
Became a member of the SphaeroAlliance from Zagada
Participated in the creation of the Contact Center Alliance in El Salvador

2008
Panama City site goes live
Opening of Recruitment and Selection Center (Tikal Futura)
Transactel University campus opens its doors in Guatemala City (Tikal Futura)
Capacity expansion in El Salvador, opening one more site in San Salvador (Madre Selva)
Capacity expansion in Guatemala, opening one more site in Quetzaltenango (Torre Pradera Xela)

2009
Opening of both the Recruitment and Selection Center and the Learning Center in San Salvador (Plaza Merliot)
Capacity expansion in Guatemala, opening one more site in Guatemala City (Torre Pradera)
Expanded BPO operations to Honduras, opening our first site in Tegucigalpa (CLARO Building)
